I created these two gifs if I will not be able to find a way to professionally create an animation:
2050 milliseconds
6300000 milliseconds
Where I made them:
One has the same length of the movie, the other is a bit more sped up, because I feel like people looking at a screen for more than an hour to see barely any movement can be troublesome.
I decided to try to be a bit more professional since I had time later in the week to try and complete my work that way.
I tried to use something called Gif Maker, I found it on the Microsoft Store, this was a terrible idea, as the result is the one below:
I gave up soon after in finding an application that would help me with creating good gifs, so I began working on photoshop.
In a surprising twist, I ended up going full circle: The brief at the start of year was to make a somewhat of an animation with Photoshop’s Time-line feature, it quickly evolved away from digital medium, but ended up coming back to the idea of using Photoshop to create a slide show of the images.
I decided not to have the images move with the length of the movie, because I feel like the audience will have to stay glued to a screen for far too long.
Here is the final piece:
This will be the tag for the artwork:
Name: Marylin Chiaverina
Date: 25/01/2021
Description:
This is the emotional response towards Inside Out by Disney and Pixar. Each image has been created while watching the above-mentioned movie with the knowledge that colours mean different things from person to person, from culture to culture, and this piece is meant to represent this.
Side note: my computer cannot read the files correctly, so the gifs had to be transferred onto my phone to make sure they worked.
